The RealNetworks Foundation makes its grants with the assistance of volunteer grant committees made up of RealNetworks employees. The grant committees review and evaluate applications and make recommendations to the RealNetworks Foundation Board.

The RealNetworks Foundation also makes matching grants and honorary grants in recognition of employees.
